The Last Every Drew® shoe starts with a Last, which serves as the form for the internal shape of the shoe. The Last used to make the shoe dictates the most important fit qualities for that shoe: the inside shape. Drew offers 14 basic lasts designed to accomodate specific foot shapes and conditions. Once you find a Last that works for your needs, you can choose among the different shoes made on that last and be assured of similar fit.
Stability & Control The firm heel counter works to provide rear foot walking stability and minimizes heel slippage. A high— density steel shank provides uparalleled stability and excellent arch support.
Support & Adaptability Added depth or double added depth in the toe box and forefoot provides space for orthotics and extra toe room. The foam cushioned collar prevents heel slippage for a snug, friction— free fit. The removable dual density footbed with Drilex® cover wicks moisture away and permanently forms to the foot. The entire insert can be removed for swollen feet or when additional room is needed for custom orthotics. The wide shank and lightweight polyurethane bottom feature a "Rocker Bottom" to move the foot forward during walking and a wide ball— of— foot base provides stability and good fit.
