Simply push a button on the unit itself, or on the wireless pendant-it works up to 80 feet away from the receiver! Messages can be prerecorded and customized for any emergency situation. The 911 feature has an on/off switch: when "on," the receiver will dial 911 first, before any of the other phone numbers.
