Size: For right or left hand, measure around the thumb knuckle, and then wrist.
Specify by thumb size: Small/Medium (2" to 2½") or Large/X—Large (2½" to 3").
Specify by wrist size: Small/Medium (5" to 7") or Large/X—Large (7" to 9").
If your wrist measures size Large/X—Large, but your thumb measures size Small/Medium, we suggest that you order size Large/X—Large.
This high quality stabilizer provides comfortable, firm support for weak, aching or injured thumbs. It is also ideal for those experiencing arthritic symptoms or degenerative joint disease of the thumb. Wear all day or during activities which lead to discomfort. This unique design will stabilize the thumb without limiting use of the hand.
Directions To Wear:
Open all Velcro® closures and slide thumb into thumb hole. Wrap support around hand and secure Velcro® closure, located at the base of the wrist strap, onto soft loop material. Wrap long strap around wrist and secure closure. Adjust both closures until fit feels firm, yet comfortable.
Wrap and secure thumb strap around thumb for better fit, or secure along base of thumb for added stability. The metal stays can be adjusted to accommodate recommended positioning, or removed completely for more moderate support.
Care:
To wash, remove both metal stabilizers through slits at the base of the support, and secure all closures. Hand wash with mild soap in warm (not hot) water, rinse well and air dry away from heat and sunlight. Do not dry clean, use bleach, fabric softeners, or tumble dry.
