About Support Plus
Support Plus was founded in 1972 by Eloise and Ed Janos. Ed, while
working for the Kendall company (creators of the Bauer & Black® brand),
saw the need for a convenient and economical way for people to get the
medical support hosiery they need. At the time, most support hose could
be found at the local drugstore; this was quickly changing, however, as
drugstores were moving away from the small mom-and-pop variety and
becoming the large chains we have now. The chain drugstores were cutting
back on their inventories and support hosiery was one of the first
casualties. Today, you may be able to find a style or two at your local
drugstore, but you will probably not find the exact product you need,
that's where we come in.
In 1984 Support Plus built its current facility in Medfield, MA,
a beautiful bedroom community outside of Boston. Since then, we've
grown far beyond our roots in support hosiery, offering a wide variety
of health-related products including comfort shoes, footcare items,
and aids to daily living while still offering the largest selection
of medical support hosiery in the world.
Today, we work hard to ensure that we have not
only the items you need at affordable prices, but that we can offer
the excellent service and support you've grown to expect from our
team. All of our customer service agents are highly trained to know
about our products and how they can help you; we also have dedicated
experts whose chief responsibility is to understand specific product
areas in far more detail than anyone else around. We are committed
to providing the same excellent service regardless of how you
contact us, either by phone, e-mail, fax, or even just a letter in the
mail.
